East Midlands Steam and Country Show 2024

How to exhibit in our Craft Marquee

We are often asked about our Marquee and how to put in a Craft Stand.

We do not supply tables or chairs for the simple reason we try and keep costs down for our Crafters. Our rents for a THREE day show are cheap. Renting tables and chairs would increase our rents by about £20.00 per day (double costs).

Be careful with metric tables that are 2 metres in size that's 6ft 6 inches, so it will not fit a 6ft space.
Also remember your pitch is 6ft deep. You need somewhere to sit. Normally double depth of tables wont allow you enough room to sit behind.

We don't accept application's for less than the whole show for the simple reason we do not what gaps. Visitors expect a full display on what ever day they visit.

Centre pitches at many shows, there can be a problem with the stall behind spreading out on to your pitch. So we place a barrier down the centre to stop this, you have paid for a space and you will get that space.

There's a 2ft gap on one side of your stall as a shared in/out gap which must be left clear at all times. The front line of your stall must not be exceeded as isles must be a certain size.

Damp!! We suggest you put down a ground sheet on the floor to keep it down. Cover you stand at night as early morning condensation off the marquee roof can be a problem with these clear span marquee's. It can feel like indoor rain on some mornings.

Electricity. We have a supply but can not guarantee continuous supply. You are restricted to a max pull of 200 watts per stand. Under no circumstances must kettles or boilers be used.

We hope to have a gas water boiler in the marquee, so there should be a continuous supply of drinks and hot water available.
Please bring your own mug.

Security, while we can accept no responsibility for losses. Everyone camping will keep an eye on the Marquee at night.

Pets no problem but request they are restrained so they don't visit, visitors who don't want to be visited.

Next door is the model tent and the other side a gap then the beer tent and food court area. There's entertainment for exhibitors in there most nights.

Better add camping pitches will be positioned around the edge of the field and NOT behind the marquee.
